With a background in teaching and bodywork, I became interested in growing my own food and permaculture design about 20 years ago. This lead to me exploring herbalism and the healing power of plants, teaching workshops and leading walks with www.camino-verde-ibiza.com

Then mushrooms came into my life. I started a mushroom farm in Ibiza, supplying local restaurants with gourmet mushrooms for 2 years. Now I focus on sharing the world of fungi, through talks, workshops, art and medicinal mushrooms.

Fungi are an incredible, often underappreciated part of our world, with a presence that touches almost every aspect of our lives. From the food we eat—like mushrooms, yeast, and molds—to the medicine we rely on, fungi play crucial roles in supporting human health. Recent developments have highlighted fungi’s potential in groundbreaking areas like sustainable agriculture, where mycelium is being explored for its ability to regenerate soil and combat environmental damage.

Fungi also hold promise in biotechnology, with innovations in creating biodegradable materials, sustainable packaging, and even biofuels. Additionally, medicinal mushrooms are gaining recognition for their powerful health benefits, from boosting immunity to supporting brain health. Whether through their ecological contributions, health benefits, or innovative uses in technology, fungi are proving to be an indispensable part of both our natural world and our future.
